EMDR Training for Clinicians
Sonoma Psychotherapy Training Institute offers complete basic training in EMDR, including all ten required hours of consultation, during four two-day weekend sessions over three months for an all-inclusive, affordable fee.

Program Philosophy
Sonoma Psychotherapy Training Institute is committed to exceeding EMDR International Association standards for basic training in EMDR. Our training program is designed and structured to fully prepare you to integrate EMDR into your clinical practice. We offer a comprehensive training model that incorporates consultation in developmental increments over the course of the training.

Program Organization
There are four training modules presented over a twelve week period. These two-day periods of training provide paced development of procedural skills, review of essential concepts, and in depth consultation regarding your initial practice experiences.

Training Manual
Participants receive a 270 page training manual in a three-ring notebook with comprehensive training notes, essential clinical forms, detailed procedural scripts, references, and resources. Participants also have access to all essential clinical forms and detailed procedural scripts as downloadable PDF files.

A Unique Format for Clinical Training
Our clinically focused training format includes all EMDRIA required hours of consultation in Modules 2, 3 and 4. With SonomaPTI you do not have to schedule or pay for consultation separately. Consultation is built right into the training schedule and included in the standard training fee. Many other EMDRIA approved training programs require you to schedule consultation on your own and pay for consultation in addition to the training fee. Other EMDRIA approved training programs offer intensive three or five day formats that compress basic EMDR training to just one or two intensive training sessions. EMDRIA Approved Basic Training in EMDR
Our Basic Training in EMDR is approved by the EMDR International Association and EMDR Europe. Graduates are eligible to become EMDRIA members and to pursue EMDRIA Certification.
