For each article you will find the citation, abstract and author contact information (when available). Prior quarterly summaries can be found on the EMDRIA website and a comprehensive listing of all EMDR related research at the Francine Shapiro Library. EMDRIA members can access the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research articles in the member’s area on the EMDRIA website. Each month I also feature an EMDR video. Spring 2012 Basic Training in EMDR

Our next EMDR International Association approved basic training in EMDR begins February 11, 2012, at the Flamingo Conference Resort & Spa in Santa Rosa. The early registration discount remains open until January 5, 2012. As with our previous trainings, participants will be traveling to Santa Rosa from throughout the SF Bay area because of their attraction to the unique SonomaPTI EMDR basic training model.

Fall 2011 basic Training in EMDR in Alameda

The spring 2011 training is now underway and plans for the fall 2011 basic training in EMDR to be held in Alameda are set. See the training schedule page for the dates. Participants in our spring 2011 training met for the first of four weekends of the program on February 5 and 6. They praised the tranquility and beauty of our training facility at the Harbor Bay Isle Community Center. They expressed appreciation for the comprehensive training manual and overall organization of the training. With the growing number of participants, the training staff are assuming greater responsibility in the practice exercises and consultation sessions. The feedback forms showed all “4s” and “5s” indicating participants found the training staff supportive and skillful. Read More...

Our first group of clinicians completed Weekend One of the SonomaPTI basic training in EMDR on September 9 and 10. Participants were enthusiastic and gave high marks on their evaluations for the training format, exercises and the teaching faculty. The facilities at the beautiful and historic Flamingo Hotel Resort and Spa were wonderful.
