This month I reprise the pilot study by van den Berg and van der Gaag, </span><span style="font:14px Verdana, serif; font-weight:bold; font-weight:bold; ">&ldquo;Treating trauma in psychosis with EMDR&rdquo; </span><span style="font:14px Verdana, serif; ">which was indexed in December 2011 for its online publication, and now for its print publication in March 2012. It highlights the application of EMDR to a well-documented series of cases of psychosis with co-occurring PTSD </span><span style="font:14px Verdana-Italic; "><em>without any extended preparation or adverse treatment effects.</em></span><span style="font:14px Verdana, serif; "> There is also a systemic review by Haugen, Evces and Weiss, </span><span style="font:14px Verdana, serif; font-weight:bold; font-weight:bold; ">&ldquo;Treating posttraumatic stress disorder in first responders&rdquo;</span><span style="font:14px Verdana, serif; "> in which four of the 17 studies involved treatment with EMDR. They expressed appreciation for the comprehensive training manual and overall organization of the training.
