References for Podcast Episode 12 - EMDR at the Frontiers of Medical Trauma and Grief

Here are the references for all the studies and books mentioned in Episode 12 of EMDR The Science Behind the TherapyEMDR at the Frontiers of Medical Trauma and Grief.

In Episode 12 of EMDR: The Science Behind the Therapy, host Dr. Andrew Leeds takes listeners inside the 2026 EMDR Europe Conference in Oslo to explore cutting-edge, yet-to-be-published EMDR treatment research on medical trauma and grief. During breaks between keynotes and workshops, Dr. Leeds interviewed investigators whose poster presentations highlight how EMDR is being adapted for complex medical and loss-related experiences.

To support clinicians in integrating outcome data into everyday practice, the episode closes with an invitation to join a free beta of a measurement‑based care platform offering standard and EMDR‑relevant assessment tools, real‑time dashboards, and flexible workflows tailored for busy therapists.

Below you will find supplemental references of the research on EMDR for breast cancer, women coping with infertility, myocardial infarction, and grief, as well as references and contact information for each of the four poster sessions mentioned in the Episode 12 of the podcast.

Measure-based care is a new service that provides free online access to a set of standard measures you can implement in your clinical practice or use for conducting your own EMDR treatment outcome case series research or single case reports. Measure-based care offers alcohol and drug use screening tools, the GAD-7 for anxiety, the PCL-5 for PTSD, the PHQ-2 for depression, and the PHQ-9 for general health. They have added the MID-60 for screening for dissociative symptoms, and the full MID so clinicians can easily screen patients for dissociative symptoms and disorders.
